Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 429 and 430
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

My son is in the brother div429. Same as you, I received the box and letter but no phone call. Maybe that was just for the recruits that arrived earlier in the week? From what I've read the brother divisions train with each other and will get to know each other as well.
I'm curious if they are in the same division with some of the recruits that they met at MEPS. I guess I'll have to ask him.
I am sure they will call soon. They have to earn it. I did get the box and form letter too. Don't worry I am sure they are all adjusting well. They are not worrying like us, they don't have much time to think about it like we do. It will be over before you know it and then you can talk all the time.
My son is div 429 too. Second go around for me. house pretty quiet now with only 3 of us here. no call yet other than the one on arrival to bc. Looking forward to hearing his voice though!!
I am so anxious to see the growth maturity and discipline level after 8 weeks.
My son is 19, he will be 20 in December. He attended college for one year first then decided to join the Navy. My daughter went through this a year ago so If you need to ask anything I probably can help you out. I know it seems like forever but it will be here before you know it:) Just keep writing and looking for the letter you get every week. Should be coming soon. Phone calls have to be earned my daughters group only got to call one time before the I am a sailor call. While others called all the time just depends how well they do each week.
My son called yesterday, I missed it but he did get a hold of my fiance. It was for security clearance stuff. He couldn't talk about personal stuff. Hopefully they will get a chance to call soon. Hope I do not miss the next one. Letters should be here soon:)
I got that call too, but I turned it personal and he kept getting back on track for his clearance. lol
should be week 1 day 6...but dont quote me, i may be off a day, trying to remember when i got the call this week bhe said it was week 1 day 1.
My son is from TN on 430. Ive gotten 2 calls so far and a small note on the form letter. Waiting for the "real" letter
