Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 377 and 378

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Kitten says Hello

Ellen0502.. that's a good question, will we need binos???

Got a call from my hubby!!!! DIV 377 went to "Ricky heaven" tonight!! Sounds like they just have one more test before BS. He said his division is doing good! :)

Am I the only parent who feels this has been the longest 2months ever? Most family and friends say the time has gone by so fast. I disagree. LOL! Can't wait for Friday.
Hello all has anyone heard that pir Friday October 4 may not happen due to the gov shutdown?? I called rtc today, and they are not suede either. Has anyone got any news???

At this point, they are planning to have the PIRs on time.  All should keep their plans to go to Great Lakes this week.  But stay tuned to the RTC page and the RTC FB page if you can for updated info.

Hello everyone,

My family and I are due to fly out in the Morning for graduation on Friday.  I haven't heard from my son yet.  I was wondering if anyone from his Division 378 has called today.

Miksmom,

My son is also division 378 and no word yet. Lets hope the practice of "no news is good news" reigns true with this as well. We live west coast and leave tomorrow at o'dark thirty so I'm praying that I know before I lay my head down tonight. If I hear from my son I will make sure to ask if they all passed and post it.

Thanks Shannon

I have been super excited all day. I think after reading about other parents getting there  "I am a Sailor" call I realized my son had not called and panicked. But you are absolutely right " No news is good news". So I will hope and pray for the best and stick with that.

Thanks Again

Hello all,

I just got some info that the calls will not begin until after 2pm CST and there are long lines to use the phones. So no news is good news at this point.

I just got the call!!! He's exhausted, and frustrated because liberty has changed related to the govt shutdown. They have to be back on base by 2100, and no one is leaving for "A" school. Everyone is staying on RTC and no new recruits from MEPS.

Just received the call from my son that he is a Sailor! He is division 378 and everyone in that division has passed! Congratulations to all. I am extremely grateful to everyone attached to this website for being my rock through it all! There really are not words to express what it has meant to me. My son was impressed that I had so much information about what is going on in their world and that is thanks to all of you. Looking forward to meeting all that will be at PIR this weekend. This is a day that I will never forget!
