My daughter went to BC yesterday 9/25/13.  We got a 3 ring phone call last night but phone was dead when we picked up.  Been reading on here that the phones die and there are no payphones.  I guess we just wait now for the "box" and the form letter.  Curious if there are any other family members of the group that started yesterday on here?  Also when do we find out their DIV#?  This is a whole new learning experience.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sarah, my name is Liz and my daughters name is Charlotte.  I am so glad you posted on here someone else that is in the same timeframe as me.  How old is your daughter?  Mine is 20, she took a few years to figure out what she wanted.  We are on Long Island, Rocky Point,  did your daughter go out of Brooklyn or somewhere in CT?  My hubby said we can call her recruiter on Monday for her address, we shall see.  I started writing to her first day, a little bit everyday.

My daughter arrived on the 25th as well. I did receive "The Box" yesterday and eagerly await the letter.

No box here yet :(  How did it get delivered?

The box arrived FedX no signature was required. I was told the letter would arrive by USPS.

My son left for BC on August 13th. It has been an emotional journey for me. I cried when I got "the box" I cried when I got the form letter, HE cried when he made his first phone call to me. So Mom2kidsanddog and sassymom9503 I know how you feel. I got the box about a week after he left and the form letter several days later. Once you get that letter you find some comfort because you will have your son/daughters address and PIR date.
Hi.My son left on September 25th...Got the call @ 12:15 am...he sounded so tired!!! I have been a wreck!!! I miss him so much and wonder if he's okay...They will probably be in the same PIR...

My son arrived at BC on 09.27.13. I got the call, right on schedule. I am reading through all of the normal proceeders for P-week and my questions is: On Sundays, do they take their "Sunday rest" during P-week or is that just when the normal boot gets started?

My son called me at 7:59 p.m. on the 24th( the day he left) and he sounded like he was out of sorts. I don't think I have ever cried this much!! I Miss Him A Lot!! But I know he is making his own path. I couldn't be prouder of him for that!!

My SON left on 9/26 I got the Call at 12:27am my time so it was 1:27 GL time he sounded so tired... I could hear the echo of other boys saying the same script as my son talked they were saying the same to their moms too.... I think of my son all day everything reminds me of him and  i wonder how he is and what he is doing always ....

I am right there to. I catch myself sometimes watching the weather.channel to see what the weather is doing close to where they are. I don't know why it just makes me feel closer to him somehow.

Has anybody received there "box" yet?  If so how was it delivered?  Tonight is 1 week since she arrived.

I received my box on Monday and my letter on Monday. And the box was delivered fedex and the letter came in the mail. And yes it does give u some relief to have his or her address but I still miss him.
