Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Honestly it's rough. In a year and three months I have seen my husband for a total of 10 days. In four months he will be going overseas for a year. That will make our total time apart for 2.5 years. It really hasn't been that bad. I have my days but I work full time and go to school full time & spend lots of time with family. It's really just about keeping busy & living our everyday lives. Sorry that's the best advice I have for you, I have like one day every 5 months or so that I break down... Just stay busy, find hobbys. On top of working and going to school full time I also volunteer at the USO.

My husband and I have been married for 9 months and don't live together. In our 9 months of marriage, we have gone 3-9 weeks at a time without seeing one another, and that wasn't easy. He will be deploying in February for 6-9 months, and once he returns I will finally get the opportunity to live with my husband. I say all of that to say...I understand your pain. Entering into the marriage, we knew what we were facing with regard to the separation, but I had no idea how much I would be affected by it. One thing that has helped me is staying busy. I don't allow myself to dwell on the fact that I miss him all day, everyday. We talk as often as possible, everyday when he is ashore. In the meantime, I remind myself that this is temporary compared to the lifetime that we will spend together. Hobbies are great to have as well. One thing that I will say, as helpful as this site is, at times, it can feed your feelings of sadness and loneliness. Don't allow yourself to become so immersed in this site that you don't give your mind and heart a break to focus on other things...
Stay away from the sad, "I miss my baby so much it hurts" songs. It only feeds the sadness. In short, stay busy, focus on hobbies and other loved ones, and allow yourself to miss him but don't dwell on the empty feeling. Hope this helps.
