Wow to you on the extra job. Makes me feel like I am slacking off here! We are older parents and are looking forward to retirement soon. With Riss leaving we now have an empty nest; don't like this at all, but it is what we worked for, for them to be independent young women. Hope you are doing okay and I know you are keeping busy.

I am an older mother as well. My son is 29 and said he felt like an old man when he was going through all the recruitment stuff. I wonder how he is feeling now. He is my only child. He has lived in Sweden and did two years in Nicaragua with the Peace Corps so I am used to having him gone for long periods but I still don't like it!!!! Still I am very proud of him as well. Let me know when you get your letter.

I sure will. Sounds like your son is having a great life. I personally am looking forward to grandchildren that I can spend time with. Already have 8 but I was having children when they were young so couldn't be the grandparent I would of liked. My Coast Guard daughter just called and is coming home on leave the end of this month. Yea.

My Son is only 18 but he is also ship 11 division 13

My Son Left September 24th from Baltimore MD. Has anyone got an actually letter yet not just the form letter? I have just received the form letter Monday. I have already sent him five little notes. Does anyone else watch the weather just to see what kind of weather they r having there?

I still have not got the letter and she shipped on the 24th also. Bummer I say.

My son left 9/24 from Wisconsin.  We are not far from GL.  The weathers been great.  Rained today but otherwise it's been sunny & warm.  I haven't received a personal letter yet.  I've heard the mail doesn't start moving until one of the recruits is trained in mail delivery.  You should also join the group PIR 11/22/13.  All our SR will be graduating that day.  (Hopefully !)

My son was moved. Ship 4 Div 801 and his graduation was moved up to 11/15. I had already made my plane reservations.I guess tomorrow I will call AA and beg them to let me change. Wish me luck!!!!

praying that they do not give you a hard time about changing your flight

Can't tell you how nice it is to see the (ship 12 div 015) in your user name. That's ours too. Do you have a son or a daughter?

Our son also left from Dallas, but on Sept 25th!  That's pretty close- since you are a day ahead of us, you will be my guide!
