Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 005 and 006
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Letter from my husband today! He is Ship 14 Div 006's medical yeoman. He misses me, but he's proud to be there.
We were so happy this afternoon when we finally received 2 letters from our Daughter. One was for her dad and I and one was for her brother. It sounds like she is doing well, but looking forward to eating "real food" again. She says that she has been assigned to her division 005, as the Mail Petty Officer (not to sure what that entails). We still haven't received a phone call other than the one that we received when she got to Great Lakes. Hopefully soon!
Nope! So glad my class is starting today. I'm keeping my phone plastered to my body, but trying to get my mind on other things. Yesterday, I cleaned the junk piles in my house that always seem to accumulate to stay ready for a call. At least I woke up to a very clean house! Thursday is mail day for me, if he sent another letter Sunday. Until then, I'm grateful for the knowledge he is in good place working toward his goals in the Navy. I resolve to do the same here at home, one day at a time. I just found another mom on another discussion who is having a very hard time who lives in my town. I asked to be friends so we can get together and talk. Reaching out to a fellow mom and getting a hug will be a blessing, for sure!
Just got a call from Ship 14 Div 005. Be ready! It was an 847 area code.
Got a call yesterday (Thursday) afternoon...SO good to hear from him! :)
I got my letter the same day as the call so I haven't opened the letter yet. I know he is doing very well, so I want to spread-out the joy through the weekend.
Hi Philly1009! My son is a nuke, also. They will fly to the east coast together, so I hope to meet you at the airport. Happy Birthday!
Yes, that is the plan. I've never been there and can't wait to visit after I finish school in March. Are you from Philadelphia? I'm north of Houston. I love your wedding cake, by the way. Can't see the dress very well, but you look like a beautiful and happy bride.
