My husband is finishing out his last full week of boot camp, he will graduate 10/25, so next Friday. My daughter and I are moving with him to is A School in Pensacola, Fl. However I have not had any luck in contacting the housing office in Pensacola. I'm at a loss at what to do anyways, seeing as I am very new to this. Any advice or suggestions, anything will be greatly appreciated!

TIA

Do you know how long his a school will be? The length of the a school will determine if you can qualify for base housing or not. I know my husband Is going to a school down there when he graduates bc and I was told that my daughter and I would not be on his orders since he will only be there 23 weeks. We are staying put because of that :(

23-26 weeks. You guys should be able to go. A few weeks ago he got a call and said that they went over a PowerPoint with jobs and lengths in A school and when and if the families can accompany him. He talked to one of the instructors over the Powerpoint and she told him that we can accompany him. So now I am working on trying to get in contact with the housing. I forgot that today they might be closed due to Columbus Day. For the last few weeks I have been looking into off base housing, because I didn't know if we could qualify on base, for the same exact reason you said, but he was told we would. But if we can qualify for on base, I am certainly going to do what I can to ensure that we can get it. I just have no clue what to do other than to call them.

When does your husband graduate?

He graduates sometime in December...haven't gotten a form letter yet. My cousin is actually an instructor at the school house in Pensacola and was the one that told us about the more than 6-month rule.
