For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 007 and 008
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Me too! Five letters in one envelope and the fill in the blank, multiple choice letter I sent him. He is doing better, and seems so much more upbeat, although he is still homesick. He has made too many friends to name. He circled 1(poor) for the division working as a team, but that was a week and a half ago, so I am sure they are starting to work together. He designed and made the flag for the division. The food is good. He is friends with his bunk mate, who is a gaming guy as well.
This week will be tough for all of them. I am praying that they will join their talents together to work as a team. I'm sure that's what the navy designed this for.
Looking forward to this week's letters.

Last I spoke with him on the phone, he told me he was going to A school in Great Lakes. He went in as PAC seaman, so he's undesignated. I think they did some personality testing and he wants to become a corpsman. That A school is in San Antonio, so I'm not sure what he has to do to change where he goes. I am wishing I went to the recruiter with him, so that I could understand what he needs to do.

It's PACT seaman. I don't think he knew what he wanted to do. Very smart, but does not test well. Can read physics books like recreational reading, likes computers and gaming. Not sure where he will end up, but I'm hoping and praying the Navy can help him and give him some training and direction.

Mine is PACT Airman, but in his last letters he said that with the gov shutdown, FL was backed up and they were going to be on hold and may have to wait there in IL for a few weeks or could be let out on liberty until there was room?

My son is going to Pensacola too. He's an apprentice airman. Haven't heard anything about not going. The gov is open now, shouldn't be a problem anymore. Hopefully!

I sent you a message but it wasn't in the string of conversation hard to do on the cell phone. I think your son and mine might be bunkmates He told me his bunkmate was a gamer like him. My son is going to A school for Corpsman.

I just noticed that I have been sending the letters to a different address! I sent all my letters using the address from the envelope the form letter came in. I looked at my sons address from his letter from last month and it had a different one. I wrote down ship 13 div 007 on it so I hope they would forward it to him. The form letter address had 3510 sailor drive and his had 3520 sailor drive. I really feel bad about this. Does anyone know what usually happens to the letters if this kind of things happen? I sent him a letter again two days ago telling him what happened. I hope he got them though. Hoping to hear from him soon.
