Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 061 and 062

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hoping for that Christmas call also!!! My daughter also had wisdom teeth pulled and then had bronchitis and strep but said she begged doctor not to put her on bedrest due to afraid it would jeopordize her PIR date. Said she is now feeling much better and on track! WHEW! She also mentioned lots of IT due to some talking and not following order. They are getting close. Is it wrong to say "we" are getting close! Haha

My daughter got her wisdom teeth out too!

Hello div 061/062 friends! Hope you all had a nice holiday. 22 days until PIR!! Lets pray for a call this weekend

Hello, I havnt been on here for awhile, so I may not be up to speed.  I was so disappointed I didnt hear from my SR yesterday {Christmas},  but I have already had 2 calls earlier, so I do feel blessed.  Any word on how the Ship 14 Div062 are doing?

I haven't. I haven't gotten mail from my husband yet. Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday I get something from him. I know he wasn't happy with his division.
In his letters he complained about the division. Said "they suck", it may have been that he was just miserable to be there so he felt unhappy towards everyone. I think a lot of people look up to him and ask him about home and his marriage and baby girl and that upsets him. He said his favorite person was this one guy "because he never asked about home". I haven't gotten anymore mail so I don't know if things turned around for him. He said a lot of the guys ask him to check their uniforms over and stuff too. I'm hoping he was just upset and has started to make better friends
Sailorswife0721. . . My daughter used the same term to describe their division (062). She said the only thing keeping her going was the good friendships she has made. I'm sure your husband has made some good friends too that are helping him deal with everything.
I haven't had a phone call from my daughter since Monday a week ago. I did receive a letter last Thursday and my husband had one in the mail on Saturday. I was disappointed yesterday when there was no word; however, I really did not expect a phone call based on the number of recruits there. . . but kind of like winning the lottery, you always hope!

I truly hope they have not lost phone and/or mail privileges again because of the girls that can't seem to follow orders and quit talking. My daughter commented in her last letter that their div couldn't seem to get it together and their RDCs were not very happy with them as a whole.

It is still early and I'm keeping the phone glued to me in case they will get to call before the day is over. If not, maybe tomorrow! If nothing else, we can rejoice that it is yet another day closer to PIR!

I havnt heard anything about these mishaps...  I hope it's all normal stuff and nothing truly out of whack!

Thanks for sharing Labradoodles! We have been out of town since Christmas Eve and will not be home until Jan. 3rd. We had our mail suspended while we are gone so I won't get any mail from my daughter for almost two weeks. It's terrible thinking there is probably a letter and I can't read it! Really hoping for a phone call; unlike the mailbox, the cell phone does travel!

My son is in div 61, brother div to div 62, and my son has told me that there is a group in their division that keeps them in trouble. He says that he is very frustrated. I wonder if div 61 and 62 go to the phones together since they are brother divisions? What is Marlinespike? I wonder what week they are actually in. Do you know? Thanks so much for posting....

Thank you labradoodles for the info. I just want this to all be over with!!!! I am sure we all do!
