Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 807
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

MY SR IS CALL ME!! SO HAPPY. GOD GIVE ME THE BEST GIFT EVER!!
Received our first letters today. Sounding pretty upbeat! Thank God!
My husband told me that he had gotten my letters so maybe he did but forgot to say anything!
I got my first letter too. He mentioned he had some blisters so I included some mole skin strips in my last two letters. I hope they help. I wish I could do more to help him during boot camp...I'm a big cheerleader when it comes to him so my letters are always positive but I am more of a doer. For example, prior to boot camp he did endurance races, 50 mile runs, 100+ mile bike races. Many time these would be on a loop so I would run next to him when he passed me to give him food, take clothes, cheer him on. Only being to do this in letters is killing me. I'm behind on everything he is doing so my encouragement is coming after he has already gotten through it. It sounds like he was sick the first week or so and he is adjusting to the eating time. I hope as they get out of the mundane activities and start doing the hands on training it becomes better for him and the others that may be having the same struggles.
Cerabell18, you are a wonderful source of encouragement for your son and have gone above and beyond! The letters we write are our lifeline to our SRs and I know they must read and re-read each and every card and letter from home. That's why it IS so important to write and encourage and praise their efforts and achievements - each day completed is an achievement - one step at a time.
Do you know if they can have their cell phones after PIR? Our son will be remaining at Naval Base GL after PIR for additional Diver Prep COI training - any others?
Have a beautiful day, ladies!
roguevalgal, my husband is also staying in GL for Diver Prep. As far as I have read they can have electronics once they move from RTC to the A School. This should happen the day of PIR (it can take up to 5 hours). Once they are no longer living at RTC they should be able to keep their phones. What is your son's rate? :)
sarahmadeliene: He is striking for Underwater Demolition Diver (SW); and your husband? :)
Got my first letter from my SR yesterday. I was so excited! He sounds good. Says he's good and their keeping them very busy. I'm glad of that. He didn't mention that he got my letters. I hope he gets them soon! Still hoping for a call :)
