Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 085 and 086

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Anyone gotten the form letteR? I am still waiting :( My fiancee is in 085
I haven't gotten it yet. My son is in 085 also.

Ours came on the 18th, but we're in Northern Illinois so it didn't have far to go :)  He called on the the 21st but hasn't written us yet.  I'm glad other SR's are writing and news gets posted here :)

did anyone with their love one in division 086 get a call today?

Trivia Question is up on Facebook.  Lets get those answers in.

can you post the link up? i cant find the page on FB please

I cannot post the link right now.  The trivia page is U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command.  They already have a lot of around 90 answers right now.  We can just hope that whichever one got it right is in our division.  Go ahead and go to their page though and like it so you will be ready next Tuesday morning.  I cannot believe how quickly people start answering

According to my mother-n-law she got a letter today from my hubby that he wrote on Christmas so look out for letters♥

Just shoveled out my mailbox. Mail came. still NO LETTER!!!

Hello all.  My son is in Div. 086.  He is heading to South Carolina for A school after PIR.  Nuke.  Anyone else's SR in that division heading there?  We received a normal call on the 21st and a letter from him on the 26th.  I was SO relieved to hear his voice and also to hear that he really likes it there. Says the food is great.  Lots of fruits and veggies.  Which he loves. He was made RPOC after first one couldn't get the hang of marching. Hope it goes well.  I've read some negative things about being RPOC.  Only complaint is he says he's cold at night when sleeping.  Blankets are too short.  LOL!  I still miss him like crazy.  Seems like he's been gone forever.   Was sad not to have him with us for the holidays and his birthday is coming up on Monday.  He turns the big 21!  Also,  I am about 20 miles from San Antonio, originally from there.  Parents live 10 minutes from Fort Sam and MIL lives 10 minutes from Lackland, so if any of your SR's who are headed there for their A School, keep me in mind if they EVER need anything.  Ok, I've rattled on long enough.  Too much caffeine.  LOL!

My son is also in Div. 086 , heading to So. Carolina  and is a NUKE. I received a new Letter today and is my 2nd. His girlfriend got 3 letters today and said they were getting some extra exercise duties and he's been sick. Says the food is OK. My letter was upbeat and says they're learning alot! Wonder if he wrote me on a good day?! Did say he's getting very little sleep. Hard not to worry and stop being Mom.
