Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 077 and 078
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Just got some letters from my son today, says all is going well. He also said he met some good guys to hang with, they were from Wisconsin, California, Louisiana, and another from Texas who is also going to Corps school (HM) after RTC. The guy from Cali is going to (MA) school in San Antonio as well. He said guys are starting to "get it" now so they are not getting their butt chewed so bad. Sounds like they are becoming squared away and meeting new friends, and that is part of what joining the Navy is all about. (Dad)

When did your son arrive at boot camp? My son arrived on 12/4 he is in Div 077. I have had no letters yet, he did have his wisdom teeth pulled this past week so I am hoping to hear from him soon. Thank you for sharing, it helps as my SR has always been quiet...I look forward to PIR and getting to know all the moms

I am right there with you. My daughter went in on Dec.5. I got the form letter last Saturday. No other mail, or phone calls. I am hoping to hear this weekend:).
My daughter is not a big communicator without her phone to text with. -

DomsMom, Our son arrived on the 4th as well. Of the letters that we've received one was dated the 6th, and the other just said it was a Sunday morning, so I'm guessing the 15th. Also received a phone call on Sat the14th about 10 mins, all sounded well. I believe that they only send mail out of RTC on Mondays, but they receive mail through the week. We live fairly close to RTC (Ohio) so maybe the the turnaround time is quicker, with the busy holiday season an all. So did someone call you about his dental procedure, just curious how that works? In my letter I asked my son if he had gotten new glasses yet or had any teeth pulled, but haven't heard back yet. Its nice meeting you folks. Keep posting any updates for the group, its nice to know whats going on up there. This is (dad) posting, mom is busy wrapping gifts so I'm on boot camp monitoring detail..lol

Hi. My son is also in division 77 and also had his wisdom teeth pulled. Was your son having problems with his wisdom teeth before bootcamp. I was not aware that my son was having problem. Am wondering if that is standard procedure to remove wisdom teeth. I have received three phone calls and several letters from my son, which has been surprising but great.
