Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 075 and 076

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

phone call came in!  She sounded great.  Said that she is doing better, the only problem she has is her ankle and her knee but they are going to get her fit for insoles.  Apparently she got a hit because she shifted her weight.  She said that PT is kickin her in the butt and she is struggling with a couple areas but is going to speak with her RDC tonight or tomorrow.  Said that she will send out letters on Sunday.   She did well until she spoke to my husband.  Then she cried.  She said that she spoke to her RDC and they approved for her to shave her head in support of her Grandmother who is going through Chemo for Breast Cancer.  They did 1/2 of her head and she has to wait until next week to have it finished.  I couldn't believe they let her do that.  They said that she is fine as long as she doesn't use a razor.  See her sister, uncle, grandfather, and stepdad had me shave their heads the Friday after Thanksgiving, but she could not because recruiter said no since she was leaving on the 3rd of Dec.  But her RDC said there is no problem with it and she said that her friends all know why and they are supporting her.  What a FAMILY she has there.  Proud Momma right here!!!!

That is so awesome of her to do that! You should be proud, which I'm sure you are! Sounds like all if them are having some sort of injury or illness.

I am very proud of her.  It has been a rough 5 months with her stepdad and grandmother and then she had to leave in the middle of it all.

She did say that there are a lot that have the sinus infection going on and she is on some meds and ibuprofen.

My son is on clindamyacin (spelling) for his toes an that should help his sinus crud. Said they gave him pain meds but he's not taking them. He's a brute like me and takes pain like a champ.

That is fabulous!  Glad she can support her Grandmother in this way!

Yahoo!!! Got a phone call from my son! He sounds emotionally better but he has a cold and both big toes have infections. He is on LOD right now until his follow up Monday and he is hoping to get back to full duty. He hates not being able to run, especially when he said he can run right now but they won't let him. He says a SR in the bunk next to him has pink eye. I hope that does not start spreading.

FYI - week 2 day 5 - they have hold days.  so she said that she believes this is where they are in the training.  Said that Monday will be week 3 day 1.

That is exactly what Chris told me.

that is also what my son told me too. I need to look again to see what they are up to this week

well we have decided that we are going to stay in a hotel for PIR.  Simply because it will cost way more to drive back and forth from in-laws to base for 2 days and then the airport and then back home.  Fingers crossed that I can get a good deal.

My fingers are crossed for you! We are at the Holiday Inn. My hubby likes to earn his points. LOL

With the weather the way it has been that is probably the best plan!  Have you found a hotel yet?
