Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 089 and 090

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So wonderful that we all got calls today! My SR sounded great he just sounded tired. I was so embarrassed I could barely talk I was crying so much, but I put his mom on the line so he could talk to her and his dad and grandma. He said the food was great and to keep sending letters they should be able to start sending theirs out on Monday. Hope you are all having a good weekend!

I received a call from my son on Dec 20th. It wasn't a social call though.  He needed me to email a supervisor a scanned copy of his passport.  Plus he needed the names, phone numbers and addresses of a couple of non-relative friends.  He said this was for the top security clearance for going to A school (he is going to Pensacola).  He told me the first few days were rough and that he was a little homesick.  He said the inspections make him nervous.  (I'm sure...I've seen how he makes a bed....not good) LOL.  He also said he is still glad he joined and has no regrets.

Since I talked to him on Monday, he called his girlfriend on the 28th.  He said he is doing well (other than passing out when they took blood). He said the food is really good.  He has a job in the division of being the handyman.  He reports things that need to be fixed and then eventually, he will get to fix them.
