Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 077 and 078

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi to everyone. My son is in division 077 and I would like to connect with other families who have recruits in that division. I am coming up for graduation. Have talked to him three times by phone and received several letters. He seems to being doing fine at this point.

Got call today. Very happy mama...she did well on her test. Passed her swim test.

Yes I receive call from my sailor. He passed his first test and his swim test. It seems like he is doing well. Sounded very happy and said it is getting easier. So glad to hear his voice.

No call so far, I anticipated that he would not be the best at communicating but never thought I would have this much difficulty with it. No News is good news right? and I am sure he is passing all the requirements just would be nice to know...so moms in communication to your SR if they have met a young man from the west coast DomsMom would love to be in the know.

May you all have a blessed weekend, my blue candle burns daily and see you all at PIR (looking at Navy Lodge so we can send time together before 1/31 coming in on 1/29 weather permitting.

My daughter just called on Friday. She said she didn't know how to use her phone card, and there is very little time. She has gone to church once, but has been busy on Sunday. I haven't gotten any letters, although she has started to write. I sent her one letter with questions and room to answer. ( I also sent her a few stamps). I have shared your frustration.

Let's hope our SR have won some phone time if not I will be baking cookies to bring with me to the Meet and Greet (freeze now bake later - LOL) do you have a favorite.

No news is good news right? I keep telling myself how great he sounded the last two times and that their division is a push division. From what I've read they work faster and are pushed through their program as they have extra duties. Ill keep our SR's in my prayers. Keep the faith. 1/31/2014

Hi everyone, My daughter is 077 and will graduate 1/31/14. How do you know/or find out where they will go for "A" school? I thought she told me TX but someone else told me San Diego. And how do you find out how much time you get to spend wit them after graduation? I was told from a few hours after gratuation to 2 weeks... thats a big spread. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I still don't have my plane tickets, coming from florida, cause I don't want to fly back if I can have more time with her and don't want to stay if I don't. Thanks :)

Lexysmama26 you can ask those question on the main PIR page. My understanding from everything I have read. You get an hour right as they finish graduation for pictures and to talk. you may want to join the facebook page for the 1/31/14 PIR date. I have never heard that it would be that much time with them (2 weeks don't think so) some of the recruits fly out the next day. You may get a couple of hours for dinner or so. But then they fly out. Your daughter is the best one to let you know where she is going and when she is leaving.
