Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 083 and 084

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

@colorfulmonkey-  I spoke to my daughter briefly saturday morning (8 mins) and she didn't say anything about that. However, I'm always so emotional/exicted to hear from her that I usually don't get many details like that lol. I did see someone else say that in another conversation somewhere but then another mother said her son said he'd be calling again "next saturday" so who knows! 3 more weeks would be after battlestations and that would be their "I'm a sailor" call. I do know that the next couple of weeks get much busier for them so I wouldn't be surprised if they're not able to call.

My son did say last Saturday that he was told they'd be allowed to call again this coming Saturday.  Of course he could have been misinformed or things might change.  He's getting his wisdom teeth out this week (all 4) so I'm eager to hear how that went.  I hope everyone gets a call, but I'm not getting my heart set on it.

Jcatherine1981 I received a letter last week informing me that my SR had her wisdome teeth removed and was feeling horrible. She was on bedrest for 2 days. I didn't get a call or a heads up about this but I guess I wouldn't since she's an adult now. In the main room chat a joke was made that all the teeth removed were used as stones around the hedges lol Hope your son is feeling better!

Thanks for your responses, @greensmom and @jcatherine1981. I suppose it's another "hurry up and wait!" I hope you get a special call to know that wisdom teeth came out ok.

colorfulmonkey (I love typing that! lol)- lots of "hurry up and wait" with the military! this is only the beginning lol

looking for mom or loved one of a "Russell" in DIV 083. Don't know if Russell is male or female so figuring this out might be a stretch lol

Finally got another letter yesterday! Yay!  It was short, but he said everything is going well.  He said he passed his swim test with no problem at all.

I had to share, I got a phone call from Sr. today. First phone call, I hit the wrong button so I check voicemail and it was her calling. I cried cause I missed her call. Then a little later, she called again and I got to talk to her. She got privileges so she used one of her calls to call me.  Her friend told her that her family will take her on Graduation if her family doesn't show up. This group  is so great, she is so touched that a complete stranger will be there for her.

I am pretty sure I am the family she is talking about and we will be there the only way is if the weather doesn't allow us I am just glad I am able to help out

Darn got home from work too late to view! Congrats to winner!!!!

my daugher is on ship 14 Div 083 :)

Mine is too!
