Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 087 and 088

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you. It's wonderful to hear from others waiting and worrying. I booked my flights and now seems closer to the end. Hoping letter arrives today or tomorrow. Does anyone have any news on how much time they will have with families. My son says just Friday. Was hoping for more.

My son said he heard just Friday as well. His A school is out of state. I read the same thing on this website somewhere (I start clicking links and end up all over the place-there is so much info!). We are driving and staying at the Navy Lodge. About 8 hours with our sailor does not seem like near enough time, especially when we go to so much trouble to get there!

I think it depends on when they leave for A school.  Mine is staying in GL for A school, so I am very thankful we may get to see him over the weekend.  I am staying until Monday so that I can spend every available minute with him.  We decided to stay at Navy Lodge because of the proximity to base.  I wanted to be as close as possible and the price was fantastic!  The less time I spend driving to get him and drop him off is more time together!  Only 4 more Fridays, and then we will be on our way.  I look at it this way... today is January 9th, so in less than 30 days we will celebrating with our families there and it will be fantastic!

Yes!

Are any of you planning on attending Sarge's Meet and Greet?  I know we are ( myself, my sister and my oldest son).  I am participating in the basket project as well.  Would love to meet some moms from my son's division.

I have not seen it posted in the events as of yet, but I am planning on attending Sarge's Meet and Greet.  I did read somewhere, several weeks ago, that he might be on vacation then.  If he is, I think will pop over to the Ramada for that one.  Just me and my husband going.  My girls can't get away.

I received a phone call this afternoon from my son.  He has a bad cold but said everything is going good.  We got to talk for 13 minutes.  Made my day, week maybe even month!

YEAH!  I got one too.. talk about happy huh!!  I second that it made my day, week even month!  Chirsn67.. mine is finally starting to feel better.  It is amazing how they change in this process.. he is already sounding different somehow.. makes me tear up, but proud.

Mark another Friday off!!  Almost there!!!  Sarges meet and greet is up.  I RSVP'D... seems to make it that much more real and close!  Hope everyone had a good week and I hope we hear from them this weekend.  Fingers crossed for phone calls!!

Just RSVP'd also!  Travel arrangements all done.  Can't wait.

How do I find the Sarge meet and greet. Where do I sign up? Thanks ;)

Go to the Events Tab above, then scroll down to our recruit's PIR date, which is less than 3 weeks away!!
