Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 807
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Finally, got some time to share about my phone call from my SR on Saturday. I know I have enjoyed so much reading the details of other moms conversations with their SR's. He sounded so good and upbeat, he was talking really fast. He said that almost everyone had got pink eye, he said he had not got it yet. He did say he get his wisdom teeth out and a couple of fillings, said he only had that day off, his favorite meal is ribs and guess what they served that night. Said, he had not been in the pool as much as he thought he would but felt like he would more this next week. He said he is making good friends. Said, there were about 7 to 10 that were no longer in their division that started with them. He said he was doing ok with the cold (I worried about that warm weather Texas boy). He said he did miss our traditional Christmas morning at home but was OK. I ask him if his leaders were nice and he said, "well no but they are what they have to be and their nice as long as your doing what your suppose to do. He said he had to do some push ups over a safety bar that he forgot to latch. He said he had been scoring good on his written test, yahhhh!!! When I ask him about "Hell Week" coming up, he didn't know anything about it. :/. Just said, hmmm. Said, he had acquired a slight cold but didn't have to go to the infirmary, he said that many had got sick.

A'sMom: Hell Week (training week 4) is not quite as bad as the name implies! :-) They are up earlier, it is a very busy week for them, lots of inspections, etc. It is also the turnaround week for them where they finally feel good about themselves and get highly motivated. The yelling has calmed down by them, and the RDCs become much more encouraging to them rather than using the "negative" motivation tools that they have in the past. They also realize during this week that in just a little over 2 weeks, they will be sailors! That is huge motivation!

Hi Melissa: Our son is also staying on for Dive Prep and is in the 807 Div. I believe Dive Prep training at Great Lakes is 2 months long. I looked it up on this web site: https://www.sealswcc.com/navy-seals-naval-special-warfare-prep-scho... . Good info on this link and it discusses what activities/training they will be doing/receiving while at Dive Prep.
I want to send you a friend request, but don't know which "Melissa" you are, as there are several in the members' list. Where are you from?

Is there a mom on here whose SR is from Merced CA? My SR is bunk mates with him and they have become good friends. So glad to have received a call this past Saturday. Things are starting to move forward now. I'm glad they are on the home stretch now!

I'm a little sad tonight. My son called and has been moved to RCU due to a stress fracture in his foot. May be there 4-6 weeks. He was really bummed! I felt so bad for him. This means he'll be delayed about a month and won't PIR Feb 7 :(

Robsproudmom - I'm so sorry to hear your news. What a bummer for him. Hope the stress fracture heals quickly so he can get back to it. I'm sure he will look to you (as the Mom) for encouragement. Better to let it heal then to keep trying with it the way it is. Could make it much worse. Stay positive! Prayers for your SR & for you too. :)
