Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Son graduating 1/31/14

Hello my son is set to graduate soon he is on ship 09 Div 075. I havebt heard from him in about almost 3 weeks. Our last call was on a weekday, he said that would be his last call until about a week before he graduates. Well its Monday and he graduates Friday. My son opened a bank account while in boitcamp. My question is will he be able to buy me a plane ticket? Before he left his recruiter said he would be able too. Will he have access to his debit card?

He does not have access to use computers or phones to make airline reservations.  Regarding the last call, that could come the day before PIR, BS is run all the time...many people get the call while they are in route to the graduation.

Recruiters do not stay on top of things in bootcamp or "A" School so the do not always have up to date information.  Sorry but your recruit will not be able to make your airline reservations, recommend you start looking asap for tickets.

I know he can't book them but can he give me his debit card number? Does he have access to it if he opened an account while in bootcamp?

Some have been able to provide money for a plane ticket, but at this point, it may be difficult to do so.
