Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 089 and 090
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I got my second letter today, I did the happy dance around the mail box. I did not know my neighbor was in her car, she put the window down and said you must have gotten a letter. I was so happy to hear from him, it has made my day and a pick me up I needed. He said things were going good and he was counting the days to PIR and to see us. I;m counting down too, hope the rest of you receive letters as well.
We got our second letter today too. The news was a bit old though. He wrote it on the 9th. It was still good to hear that he is doing well. He mentioned he is hoarding every letter as any outside contact is welcome. One family friend sent him 6 page letter. It kind of blew him away! I am so grateful for the support he is getting. Counting down with everyone!

Hey, is there a sr mom on here that is from Upstate NY, Hm rating div 090, and last name starts with a M?
It sounds like a lot but my sr wanted me to contact you. They're buddies. I wrote to my SR and I tried to explain that we don't use last names here. At bc that's all they use! My sr said he has no first name. PIR soon!
Hello All !! Thank you so much for all the great information and support. This has been such a roller coaster of feelings and emotions for the past 2 months ... I am beyond proud. My son is having a positive experience and I know in my heart he is exactly where he is meant to be. Our Sailors can say they have been through one of the worst winters in Great Lakes in decades, along with the passage of the holidays during their training. Last letter I received was written on Jan 14th, I loved hearing his voice and his excitement during one of our short calls. Safe Travels to all en route to Great Lakes next week. I look so forward to strengthening the bonds we as family members will have with each other and our Sailors.
