Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 101 and 102

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks Ellen!!

5 more Fridays!

Good night,

Laura

My mail box is hungry!!!
R

8 of the hardest weeks of my life!

amen!

Anyone get a real letter yet?

I got my first letter today!

Happy Friday, ladies!  The countdown is on, only 5 more Fridays to go!!

No letter yet.  I don't necessarily expect one any time soon.  My SR told me that he was spending his 30 minutes of free-time after taps doing push ups and sit ups with other shipmates to prepare for the next PFA.  So, I suppose until that feat is accomplished I would rather have him preparing to pass that instead of writing to me.  He has always been a man of little written words, anyway......he'll talk your ear off, but not so much when it comes to writing the words down :)

I am hoping for a call again next Saturday.  He told me that is when they are going to the NEX for supplies again.

Hope all are well!

Laura

Hope to get a real letter soon!  Our SR's are starting week 3. Whoop Whoop!

From some of my research on this site it looks like they are currently doing a hands-on environment,  they will be learning first aid techniques, signaling with flags and the proper procedure to board and disembark a ship, and basic seamanship. They will do this training on a real ship situated in a large hangar. Their first PT (physical training) test is administered during week three; the areas tested are 1.5 mile run, push-ups and sit-ups. This is often called the PT0, because it is the starting point from which you will improve.

Eek! they are going to be very busy men and women this week! I hope everyone has a great weekend :)

I'm wondering, since they are in a push division and are being 'fast-tracked' through RTC, how far beyond the normal timeline that puts them?

Oh, and FIVE MORE FRIDAYS, WOOHOO!!!

Has anyone received a call today?

I received a call today!!! My SR was sick when he left so it was great to hear his voice and that he is feeling better! I hope you all get calls today too!
