These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

it would be his bunkmate with the J name, so he would need to be in Div 94..Justice is the name though, I would like to find his mom or wife, he is a blessing to my husband!!

Hi everyone, I have done the whole boot camp thing for my son that is in the Marines and OH MY that was a rollercoaster and now I have a new roller coaster ride for my nephew that is Ship 13 and Div 93 with a last name of M. I am looking forward to all the posts and maybe finding some bunks mates of his. I may not personally know your son, daughter, husband, or wife but I do want to THANK them for their dedication and commitment to serve this great Nation in the United States Navy. I have, as well as you will, have perfectly good strangers come up and say this to you. So please when you see your SR at PIR let them know that some lady from the Forum says "THANK YOU" for their service!

Hi Marine mom!  My son is there with your nephew.  He is RPOC of that ship & division.  Wouldn't that be something if they were bunk mates? :)

Please to meet you, I do not know many if any abbreviations, so what is RPOC?  That would be something if they were bunk mates.  That happened when my son was in boot camp, I ended up chatting back and forth with another boot camp mom and come to find out12 weeks later it was one of his really good buddies mother. The world is smaller than we think.. How have you been with your son gone? Keeping busy? Have you been doing a lot of reading about the training, PIR, and then what is next after graduation?  I found it helps, really helps it kept my mind from wandering and thinking the worst. Do you have your travel plans made?

Hi MarineMom!  I guess it would be better to say RCPO or Recruit Chief Petty Officer.  There is a list on the main page where you can look up offices in BC (boot camp).  The RCPO is the person who gets orders from the RDC (Recruit Division Commanders) and carries them out for the division.  There are there to help make sure the orders are carried out, like-wise if someone fails, they get the punishment, ie. push-ups and such when someone gets in trouble.  At PIR(Pass in Review or graduation) they are the one's in front of their division carrying a sword and are called out by name.  The division also carries the flag of their home state.  It is a huge honor and a great deal of responsibility!  With my son gone, I comfort myself in the fact that this is what he's waited his whole life to do.  It has always been his dream since he was a little boy.  He's living it!  I have been reading about PIR and what they are going through each week.  It helps to know how to pray for him!  He goes off to A school for Corpsmen(medic) school.  His goal is to go FMF (Fleet Marine Force) or get on a Seal Team and go out with them on missions.  They always take a Navy Corpsmen with them. Our hotel is secure, and we are driving up from Michigan.  What is your son's goals?  Are you planning on doing the "meet & greet" with Sarge?

Thank you for describing what your son does,very interesting and yes your are right that is a big responsibility and a HUGE honor, Congrats to him! It was my youngest sons dream to join the Marines, so proud of him but why didn't he follow the Cowboy dream, less stressful for his mother. LOL! On 11-01-2014 after 5 long years he has already said that he will not re-enlist in the Marines. He wants somewhat of a normal life especially now that he is newly married and a baby on the way in June.. My first Grandbaby. I am Super excited and cannot wait :) Good luck to your son on his road to be a Corpsman. I remember my son saying that the Corpsman is one of the important guys of his unit. So is your son looking to make the Navy a career? My nephew wants to be a Seabee so I think the A school he goes to is down south. As for the PIR I wish I was going it will be AMAZING so I will not be attending that or Sarge's meet and greet for my nephew. But my oldest son, his wife and l be driving to surprise him for the short time he has liberty. I will be watching it online so I will watch for your son for Div 093 that is carrying the sword. Since you will not be allowed to yell at the ceremony I will do it for you! YAHOOOOO! Such a proud moment for you and your family, take it all in when you are there. I safely bet it will be one of the most memorable moments of your life. My sister is staying at the Navy Lodge so I am going to try and book a room there or maybe the Court Yard, Residence Inn. Whatever is close. Stay strong and go day by day. Keep those prayers going :) he is using each and every one of them. PS I watched that video for Battleship 21 (final challenge) WOW how cool was that very interesting.
