Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 103 and 104

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Does anybody know what are the dates on the letters our SRs are recieving them? My SR still hasn't received pics of our niece (as of 2/9) I sent him around the 3rd of this month. She was born after he left, so he's very eager to see her.
I know some of you ladies have sent quizzes, can you tell me about the approximate turnaround.

It takes 4 - 5 days for our SR to receive our letter.  I have heard that their mail goes out on Sunday night (Monday night this week because of the holiday).  Then it takes another 4 - 5 days for us to receive a letter from him.  In general It's about a 2 week time span for us to get a letter that he responded to a letter we sent.  Hope this makes sense.

Thank you Stupper. I understand. I hope he gets that particular letter soon.
I mailed him a package on the 1st that arrived at GL on the 4th (I was tracking it), he got it on the 5th. I would have thought the letters would have gotten to him by now, but I guess they treated the package w more importance.

Anyone get phone calls today?

Momof5, I didn't get a phone call.

Since I can't go to the graduation -insert sad face here-, I was thinking of ways to make my SR's weekend still special. I already got his graduation gifts, but I wanted something more from home.
In every letter he talks about how much he misses my cooking, so I was going to make a few dishes that he & my in-laws can eat the weekend of PIR.

I'm also going to record a video of me &a few family/friends saying encouraging things for him to upload to his phone. That way he can see everyone from home & watch them during A school. Just a thought in case anyone else would like to do that for their SR.

NewBeginnings I'm so sorry that you are not able to make it to PIR after all. I love your ideas, and am sure he will feel very loved. Thank you and your husband for your sacrifice and service. I will be praying for you both and that sweet baby boy of yours too.

That is a great idea NewBeginnings.  So sorry that you won't be able to make it, but good that you're playing it safe for you AND the baby :)

Thank you so much shw92 & Momof5. Hope you ladies are enjoying President's Day relaxing.

Good morning ladies!  I was hoping for a phone call but it does not sound like we are getting one today.  Does anyone know what week they are in?

According to my sons letter I got on Friday....last Friday was 4-2 for them so if today is a holiday I am assuming it is a 4-hold day and tomorrow would be 4-3....this is for div 104. 103 &104 started first for this tg so they should go first with battle stations as they go in order by number (800&900 go randomly) so as I am looking at it 6-5 should be march 6 th so hopefully we will hear Friday March 7th from them....the Friday before pir. So I'm new at this but I'm just following my sons letters and the schedule that was posted. Hope that helps.
Sounds Good! :)

Sounds as if you've got it down to a science Blessed!  Makes sense to me!
