Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes thank youuuu. Im very much a positive person. That helped alot. I just gotta do more to keep me busy to pass along the weeks. He told me to just take care of home. I'll def keep. My phone near. I wrote him the day he left. But thanks again

My biggest words of advice is this May be one of the hardest times of his life, therefore you need to be strong for him. I wrote my husband (my bf then) letters every single day and just told him about my day. I missed him like crazy , but I didn't want to add any stress to his life , therefore I used this site as my portal for my personal support so that I could be his. Good luck with the navy life, we are four years in and it's been a roller coaster .

Melissa that helps. Thank you. This site has def been helping. I wrote him telling him how much I love him and that i was proud of him as oppose to how much i miss him. Makes it easy for him. I dont want him up there worrying about me. So im taking it one day at a time.
