Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Called the obudsmen through the uss truman you can talk with amber or brittany,make sure your petty officer has your name on the list so you can get on base,the meet and greet is from 4pm-8pm the night before see you there 

your son would have to put you on the email list and then they will email you ship information for families:)  HSTFRG_CommLiaison@HSTruman.Net this is the email to request to be put on the list

As this website helped so much during Basic Training, I now return to it as the nerves are getting the best of me again as I watch the calendar clock tick tock away.  So I do remember during Basic that all of the members of the group commented when they got the specifics on graduation. As in "we got the email".  Will everyone in this group be doing the same?  I spoke VERY briefly with my daughter yesterday and she said that what's done on their end is done and everything is now out of her hands.  Just wondering if now I can once again rely on everyone out here for a progress and update of sorts?
