Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 199 and 200

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for those who didn't get letters yesterday. Keep an eye out for the mail carrier!

Hello my name is K *(PERSEC and N4MGuidelines) and my husband left for basic on the 15th of April. Im super excited that we have our own group here for division 199 and 200. He is in division 200. I'm going with his parents and I think his grandparents to see him graduate. I've been through this process before with my brother last year. I'm counting the days til I get to go see him. Haven't received any personal letters yet just the one that says when he graduates. Hopefully I'll get one soon or a phone call. June 13th needs to get here quick!

*(name removed)

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. i know that only 4 people get to see him graduate but his grandparents want to see him while he is on liberty. They got phone calls today earlier. it was so good to hear from him. After boot camp he has his A school in texas. His rate is HM so school is 5 months. After that we shall see. Are you going to Sarge's meet and greet?

I received a call Sat evening.. Was great to hear from my hubby, even if he had a little cold.. Did you?

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi tdawns05.  I have not heard from my SR since last Saturday (4/26)am when I had a wonderful 10min call.  I haven't received any mail either - other than for form letter.  It appears no one in our family has heard from him either yet.  Been stalking the mailman and I continue to put a letter or card in the mail every day.  Anyway, I know that no news is good news and will continue to cherish the call I got last Saturday.  He said he was doing great!  That's good enough for me!

Jogesmom,

Hmmm wonder why he didn't call yesterday?  I sent my husband calling card numbers that he could give away for SR that didnt have calling cards. It could have been that he was busy and couldn't call. I don't mean it in the way he was to busy to call his momma. lol.. I was saying like duty wise.   Depending on where you live is when you receive mail. I believe they can only send their letters out on Sundays. So on Thursday is when I receive letters from him. I was upset to find out that my hubby doesn't always receive letters from me, as i write everyday..but that wont stop me.. Sure hope you hear from him soon.

God bless you..

Dang! Still too slow on the trivia (I didn't even get it right!) good job though, we'll get one yet!
I didn't get a call this weekend either. :(
Letters I received yesterday- said he was on watch when the others were calling- which is why I didn't get a call. Maybe the same for you jorgesmom?

You are correct!  His girlfriend received her first letter yesterday (different part of the country) and he said exactly that.  .....Anyway, girlfriend said in his letter he was doing great.  I'm hoping for something today/tomorrow.  Thinking positive! Thanks everyone.

5 more Fridays!!

I ordered an 03 coin from Ebay - very nice.  I will be ordering ribbons too.  By the way - fellow Division family, I got 3 (yes, THREE) letters yesterday!  And even one addressed to his grandparents/my folks - so I read it too before forwarding :)  I think the entire neighborhood was rooting for me as they saw me check the bank of mailboxes 3 separate times yesterday!  He's doing great and sounded pretty motivated to do well.
