I believe my son is. We haven't gotten "the letter" yet,  but the recruiter gave me this ship/division, and then somehow my son was granted a call after 3 days (yay!), and he confirmed it. He hasn't finished processing days yet, so my understanding is it isn't confirmed until P days are over and they move into their ships. Exciting! I am very proud.

Congratulations Bless your Son

Thank you for sharing

Please keep me posted, this is so confusing :(( Thank you for sharing

I'll let you know when the letter arrives- that's the confirmation of the ship and division they are in. I am 99% sure I have his ship/div correct, but it's that niggling 1% that keeps me from mailing anything yet! Ships/divisions could change, but rarely. I just got his box yesterday. It is all confusing, but I have found so much helpful information on this website. Hang in there - boot camp will all be a fond memory some day!

Thank you kindly..waiting on some news in a letter :)) If I hear something I will send you some info to.
:)))

Oh I forgot to mention, I seen this posted ??? What does this mean?

939: Ship Staff/Honor Guard: PIR 08/08/2014 TG 39
(Division 939 will also perform their duties during the 07/25/2014 PIR and the 08/01/2014 PIR.)

Oh, cool! Did you find this here:

http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/900-divisions

I saw this the other day, but the 8/8 PIR hadn't been attached yet.

This site has a nice explanation of the different 900 divisions and what they are responsible for. So it looks like the 939's will be part of Ship staff/Honor guard - there is a nice description on this link that describes their duties. Most of the 900 division recruits take part in 2 of the preceding PIRs so that they essentially get to practice for their own. So at each PIR (have you watched the videos of graduation online? Very cool!) you will see recruits who aren't actually graduating yet, but will in a week or two. So if we watch them when they stream the PIRs on 7/25 and 8/1, we may actually see our recruits! Not guaranteed, but what fun to watch!

Ironically my husband was also in a 900 division and was also part of the honor guard - 28 years ago. I think it's nice that they have something extra to do.

Thank you Thank you!!! Please keep me posted I will as well :)))

I sure will!

My son is in ship 2 div 939, one phone call his first week, missed his call second week, have the phone glued to me today lol

Same here Cristy,...still waiting for the first letter>> Hope soon :))
