I am having a difficult time figuring out this site. I'll catch on I'm sure; I hope. lol. No matter how small I make a picture, I just can not seem to get a profile pic. I have tried for 2 hours to select a picture; to no avail. Any suggestions anyone?

I''ve been on here over 2 years and still have difficulty with this site. Not easy to navigate and never bothered to try putting up a profile pic
Mamma D, I am so glad to hear I am not the only one. I have been a member for almost a year and today, I decided to try again. The ONLY reason I saw you had commented is I just happened to have my email up (which I normally do NOT check email).
I find it easier to read the posts thru my email rather then try and navigate site and only come to the site when I want to comment lol this way I don't get frustrated with the site
This discussion gives you an over view of the "main page" on this site.
Welcome New Moms, Take Some Time to Learn This Site
Click on Forums on the Menu Bar. You'll find a number of sub-topics. One of them is "How To Do Stuff on N4M"
If you want to add a photo (or symbol) to your profile, use a jpg file. Don't use a file that is too big. The best is around 100x100 pixels. This one is 116x116 pixel (3.04 KB)
This one is my profile. It's 48x48 pixels and 1.80 KB. You can use a larger size photo but I recommend using something on the order of 50x50 for your profile, so that it's fuzzy if expanded to larger size. I rarely post photos of my sailor.
On the upper left you'll see your Status Box with your name, follow by INBOX, ALERTS, FRIENDS, SETTINGS. Click on SETTINGS. You'll be on your profile page. Under "Photo" click "Browse" - a window will pop up - go find the location (on your hard disk) where you have store your jpg file. When you find it, high light it (point your mouse at it and left click), then click OPEN.
A window will pop up showing your "old" photo and you "new" photo. NOW CLICK SAVE. Or cancel if you don't like it. That is it. Good luck.
Thank you, BunkerQB; that's the problem. I do not know how to make my pictures smaller. I have tried to upload a pic for my profile earlier. It took me 2 hours and all were too big for this site. I did look at the, "How to do Stuff" but that does not navigate me to where I need or want to go. I know a mom who is looking for a Navy Mom site but this one is just too difficult. Maybe once I get the hang of it, I will feel more comfortable recommending this one. The group she & I are interested do not communicate with one another. Not much discussion or interest in one another. :(
Send me a friend request. Then send me your photo. I'll reduce the size for you. Stay w it. It only takes a little practice. The Menu Bar is your compass.
Remember not to use a picture that includes your Sailor for your profile picture.
