For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I was crazy to but I am getting a little better .my son left last Monday the call came at 12.45 am..like you god bless our children.funny we spend our lives preparing them for the world ..when the leave we are falling apart.

You have now made any obvious changes that you need to make. My son also leaves on the 15th also, the time has gone so fast. I thought in Oct that we had so much time! But as each milestone passed by (xmas, baseball season, graduation and his best friend leaving for west point) I have gotten more anxious. now we are on the 11 days and I can't get enough time with him. I guess I cant be selfish. I am looking forward to his next step in life but as his mom it is going to be hard not seeing him every day. We have such a close relationship. I have tried to keep it all together so I don't upset him. I can tell he is getting excited and a little scared but he is such a strong and smart young man that I know he will do great. I feel a little better seeing that other moms feel the same way I do it really helps to know. He will get picked up by recruiter on the 14th and be at Meps in St Louis on the 15th. My husband and I will be there to see him swear in and say goodbye!

hello all!!
good luck to all of your sons and daughter and to you!! stay strong!! my son left for bc on july 19th 2011. I couple weeks after he graduated from high school. he was a depper for about a year. he is my oldest and the first to leave home. he is now out in the fleet on a sub. I am sooo proud of him!! please thank your sons and daughter for their service!!

My son left Monday I dropped him off while there recruiter asked him where is your bag.. I ran out got him a change of clothes if he is staying in hotel over nite send a change of clothes.if he don't need them you can take them home..

Today was the day I just left my son at MEPS we had a nice time. A long day of waiting around but was so special to see him being sworn in. We left him after lunch and now is the waiting game they were leaving St. Louis around 12-1 and it was going to take them 7 hours to travel to Great Lakes. So I will be attached to my phone from 6 pm on!!!!!! I was able to keep it together and didn't cry I really think that helped him to say goodbye.
