For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

hi everyone, my fiancé was set to ship out on 7/8 he stayed at a hotel overnight and flew to GL on 7/9 (yesterday) i received his "scripted" phone call last night. does anyone have a loved one who also had these same dates? If so please let me know our loved ones may be in the same division!

PSV, I am very anxious as you are to find out the dates. From what I understand we have to wait for the "Form Letter" because all these men & women will be broken down to different groups during their first week of processing and assigned all those details. Then it will be out there about your division. So you may have to wait a week or so to get the letter. Have you talked to your fiancé's recruiter at all? Ours was very helpful. It is okay to do so.

My daughter leaves July 28th. We've had the date for almost a year now. She joined the DEP program before her senior year of high school. We have been so proud of her and supportive of her decision. But today, it just hit me that my baby girl is leaving in a few weeks. I want to hold her tight and never let go, but I also want her to know nothing except support and love from us. I want her to feel that she has our support 100%, that we are fully behind her and her decision. I love her so much and am so proud of her. I want her to go and become the wonderful adult that I know she can be, but I know I will miss her terribly. Such mixed emotions!

I received my 'scripted' phone call at 1:30am 07/10/2014! Did not realize myself it would be that way and yes....WOW washed over me when the VERY SHORT conversation ended. Emotions from crazy town for sure!! Thank you for allowing me the privilege of joining you all here! Waiting my 3 weeks on pins and needles knowing this is the very BEST for my offspring.
Hello All. Lynn here. My son Michael left yesterday/arrived early this AM in Chicago. Michael is my baby of 2 sons the eldest is 32 w/ a child of his own now. First time grandma as well here ... Empty nest syndrome sets in pretty quick :) :/ :(

My son is going to MEPS on the 16th, being sworn it on the 17th. Going to be rough on me.

Fedex returned the box this afternoon. My daughter and I opened it anxiously. As I took out his Puma gym shoes I said to my daughter, "he is wearing boots now". We did received the MEPS enlistment. paper. We unable to go to the swearing in but it has the time stamped and his biometrical signature with a picture of his face. It also has his correct pay grade YAY! E-3. The only thing I'm a little disappointed is there is no paper with his address to mail him a letter. Then we placed his dirty clothes in the dog's bed. Even though my son has a quiet nature our house has been extremely quiet! Why is this week so slow!

My son left on Monday July 7. This is my second child to go Navy (I have 5 kids). I remember there was a page that listed a boot camp schedule, so families could kind of be aware of what their children's schedule was like, week by week, while at RTC. Does anyone have a link to such a page?
