Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 255 and 256

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

255/256 calling

Just got off MCRD page for my son who is SD Boot camp. I found pictures of Alpha Co.'s training. Do we have pictures or up dates on are SR's progress?

Yes my daughter will be leaving the day after graduation.

None that I know of. She is going into air traffic controller.

Are you going to graduation? My husband and I are flying in the 21st. Still need to get room and rent a car.

My daughter is going to Pensacola too! That's a long way from home.we live on the west coast!

Letter today!!   I'm so excited, haven't heard from him in 2 weeks!!!!

My daughter is in 11/255. Haven't talked to her in two weeks, so really missing her. She will be going to A School in Florida. Can't wait to see her! Her name is Hillary, first phone call lots of tears, but sounds better every time we talk!!

Well, my daughter had a day or two SIQ with bronchitis in the 2nd or 3rd week. She was hospitalized two weekends and was to undergo a GI Procedure. While x-raying for the GI esophagus issue, they found she also had a UTI. I've not heard from her since the Tuesday after she was released, but contacted the PAO who notified me that she wasn't being set back and her PIR of 8/22 was still on track.

It's been a couple of weeks since I talked to her and no letter this past week - yesterday I went into her room for the first time in weeks to put something on the bed. Her box with her personal belongings from day one was on her bed and hit me harder than expected. I work a full time federal job and teach three college classes part time. I try to keep busy and occupied, but this has been so much harder than I expected. At least in A school she can call and text - SIGH!!!

NavyVetandMom, if she was held back you would get a call with the new PIR date. As for the no letter last week, I heard that there was an issue with the girls of 255 and they were not allowed to send letters last week. No phone call issue, we all have that. Most of us have not had a call since July 17. I was hoping for one this past weekend. Looks like the next call will be the "I'm a sailor" call after battle stations.

Thanks for update, we haven't talked to our daughter since July 17th so that explains why! What kind of incident would cause that to happen? Can't wait to see her on the 22nd!!

Not sure, 2 weeks ago in a letter she said that the girls are struggling  with marching together. Not the words she used, but says what she said. I am hoping that is what it was.
