Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 269 and 270

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Sounds like great idea! My son is 18, just graduated high school June 3rd, arrived at BC July 2nd! He will be going to Nuke school after PIR in Charleston, SC.  I have gotten one call, last saturday, since the "I'm here" call!  No letters yet but hopeful for today or tomm. as he thought they were going to get to write and receive mail Sunday!!  Best wishes to all moms & their SRs!!

Hello, my son is 28. He is married with a 2 1/2 yr old son. He's in Div 270. He has called his wife a few times quickly and he sounded great. Very very busy. Was expecting to receive all mail this past Sat (which we had sent so far)and planned to be able to write on Sunday I'm anxious for my first letter today??!!

Got a letter yesterday!! Happy day in KY!! His dad also got one in TN!  Both were upbeat, positive letters! He asked for News updates in our letters and navy history.  Said the worst part about BC was the boredom...evidently they haven't gotten down to the nitty gritty yet!!

My son said the same think Mstink- got his first letter yesterday ship 14 div 269 and he said all they're doing are drills & inspections, but he had SIQ for wisdom teeth extraction this weekend and couldn't call with his division.  Said Monday he was FFD and i'm sure they'll be pushing them more on PT and other things.

I mailed a letter back a day ago with a "W-H-O  R-A!"  paper enclosed!   In his letter it appeared his division needed some encouragement!     Today I realized I don't miss my son like I have been before.  I almost feel guilty.....then I realized I just feel  real-ly, real-ly PROUD of him!

My SR asked me to send World News everyday...he misses keeping up with the world so every morning I go to Fox News Headlines Today and print it off for him!! Then I write my letter to him on the back of the last page!!

Good afternoon ladies, I had dialysis treatment this morning and my chair that was assigned to was No. 14.  I asked if they would keep me in this chair until PIR    I hope you having a good day!

I got a question about handicap sitting?  As I mentioned before I am hemo-dialysis and I interested in sitting very near to the floor.  Climbing up bleachers is not a option for me.  I did let my son know this but can it sit in this spot if I ask too?  It will be myself and my daughter.

Good afternoon MOTHERS,  I am speaking to my son RIGHT NOW!!!!!  He is asking me to write this note.  He said this division is not working together!  He is asking me to tell the mothers to encourage their sons.  Many are NOT focus and are worry about the here now and not looking forward what they have to look for after PIR.    He is saying the numbers in the Div 269 diminishing is down to 64 and it take 38 to qualify and for PIR.  They have 2 compartment HITS!  That is really bad!  These are younger SR's.   There is no respect to RDC's.  My son is working overtime trying to encourage them.  There are many who are determine to finish.  If the numbers continue to drop there will NOT be a PIR to attend.    I say this  ladies out of respect.  We love our sons but they must know the urgency  and have the decency to respect their commanders and  work as a team.  The Navy can not give them this.  They have to WANT TO to be better for themselves then only then can they have the desire to work together!     Mothers let do our parts to love and encourage them.  Do not allow them to fail themselves!  DON'T GIVE UP ON OUR SONS!

Good Morning Ladies!!!  I got my first call from my son on Sunday...Ship 14 Div 270.  It was like Christmas....I was so happy to hear his voice.  He sounded happy and never once complained.  Keep writing letters to your Sailor and stay positive...it rubs off on our Sailors.
