Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 261 and 262
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 03, Division 261. I just found this forum and am so happy to see all your posts. Have been making travel arrangements, but didn't hear from my son this week, so I've been a bit nervous about it. I hope I didn't somehow miss a phone call from him. I would love to hear from anyone who's SR is going to Pensacola for A school after PIR. Are any of you going to Sarge's Meet and Greet at the Sundance Saloon on Thursday?
My son is going to Pensacola after PIR. I hope we'll have time to spend with them. Not sure about Meet and Greet. Is that just for 261? Sundance Saloon sounds like fun though!
No, the Meet and Greet is for all. Go to this link for info about it:

Hi Kim,
Clay hasn't mentioned anything about after A school, yet. My brother, a retired staff Sgt in the Army, believes it will be toward the end of A school when they find out their stations. Clay did call on a Tuesday one time after being cut off by the phone card limit the Sunday prior. We spoke for one minute. That was really upsetting because his voice sounded low that day and I didn't get to find out if it was from being tired, or something else. It all turned out well, though. My older son and I will be going to graduation. Looking forward to meeting you also!
:) Cindy
Struggling tonight, as the last phone call was last Saturday. I know she said the phone calls were not happening until the "I'm a Sailor" call...but I am really missing my girl. 3 weeks left! Praying that everyone is doing well and keeping busy during this wait. My letters have typically been arriving on Wednesdays. Excited for the next letter.
I got 2!! She said Div 262 is still in the running for Hall of Fame, and she hopes they can maintain it, because one of the Senior Chiefs is not going to be with them much for the last 2 weeks. She still sounds very upbeat and when she struggles, she realizes how far they have come and how close they really are to PIR. I am super proud and can hardly wait to see her. Mama's we are close!
I got a letter today also! Although, my son never seems to mention that their division is in the running for the Hall of Fame. I have asked him about it in my letters to him, but he doesn't answer. He did tell me that he is leading his division in push ups, sit ups and the mile and a half run. He is also in count down mode. I can't wait to see him!
My daughter said she made the Olypic athlete team. I wasn't aware of that I had to google it. She said she is mastering pushups lol.
