Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 804

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Hello Everybody!  My son is Ship04 Div 804 too!  I've already spoken to some of you and look forward to meeting the rest of you!  I think we may be the only Division that has yet to receive a letter or a call - or at least that's how it seems!!   I hope it's not because they're doing something wrong, LOL!!  I would think in this division they are all very focused, but I think they may also be held to a higher standard.  Anxiously waiting for some news!!

Yes, I was beginning to wonder if it was just me that had not got that phone call or letter yet. Glad to know that was not the case. Not having any communication is terrible, but I know that there is a reason for everything the Navy does. Think it's probably worse for us than the guys since we don't know when we will get that phone call. I hope not too missy123.

I am going to back to some of my older groups to find some info for you. The current Veteran Moms on the PIR groups did not have an 800 Recruit. So what I post will be from past answers from a 800 Veteran BC mom.

Thank you! Much appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Here is something I found about the 800's schedule. It was originally posted by sjtina .

Your Recruits will have additional testing and PT requirements in BC based on their Ratings.

-4:00-5:00 am- Get yelled at for bad bunks.

-5:00- 5:10 am- Travel to galley and eat.

6:00-8:00 am- 300 pushups/ situps + 2 mile run.

8:00 to 8:50 am-March back to ship.

9:00- 11:00 am- fold clothes (PERFECTLY).

2:00 – 4:00 pm- In house PT (basically yelling + PE)

10:30 pm – 3:30 am sleep (unless you have watch)

Wow!! My son is also in this division. I haven't gotten a call or letter from him either, I can see why!! I can honestly say that when I read posts from others, I was actually jealous that they were already getting 30 min calls and letters from their SR's. Then I thought, maybe he's just not calling me? I knew he would have a demanding schedule, but wow!! I'm just a bit more relieved to know that other 804 families are in the same "boat" as I am!! 10 min to get food and inhale it?? My Son's had that down for years!!!! He's probably a record holder there!! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us to hear something from our Boys soon, so we can post.. "I got my phone call"!! Thanks for starting this discussion Navy Moms!! ;)

Thanks for posting, FTLW.  This is hilarious...my husband asks me every once in  a while: what do you think they are doing right now?  And our answer to each other is: Either pushups, cleaning, or inspection -- haha.  I printed this out and wrote a letter to my son on the back - asked him to tell me how accurate this was.  I know it's a big transition for some - long days and lots to do - but in his letter he says it's not too bad!  The only comment was that 0400 comes early every day.  LOL.  As someone who is up at 0400 everyday myself, I've been telling him that for years now.  :)

Just got a call from my SR! They had a quiz and he won phone time. He said that Sunday was the first time that any of the SR's in his division got to write, so we all should be getting mail from them soon. He also said most all of them got colds when they first got there, so he was just now starting to feel better, but he sounded pretty upbeat overall. Said they were all pretty tired. He said be sure to tell all the family's to send mail!! I've been writing every day since I got his address and he said they just started getting their mail. I asked if he knew when their division would get phone time, and he said they haven't told them specifically, but he expects within the next week. I just wanted to let everyone know that letters were coming, and hopefully phone calls soon as well.

Wow!  I'm so happy to hear ANYTHING about our group!!  I'm happy for you - but a little jealous, too, LOL!  I've had a really rough day today for some reason.  The tears started up again today - but hopefully this will be the start of all of us finally hearing from them.  Thanks so much for sharing, JinCincy!

Hang in there missy123! Hoping all the SR's in our group get phone time soon. My SR did say they had their first "official" inspection tomorrow, so he had to go polish his boots, LOL! He said on Christmas they were supposed to get 6 hours of downtime, kind of like a Sunday, and there were going to be special church services on Christmas Eve. He said they haven't been told if they would get to call home or not then though. He also said his whole division was a really cool group of guys. We all knew that already though, right?

Awesome news JinCincy!! So happy for you too!! Hearing at least something from our division is exciting, almost felt like I got the call!! So glad to hear they're doing well, and their mail situation too!! I know how you feel Missy123! I've been pretty much ok, the past few days, keeping extra busy. Last night after everyone went to bed, I just broke down!! Much better now though, after hearing this fantastic news!! Chin up...We got this ;)
