Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 804
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

I was able to find a couple with mine in them as well.................in the mess hall. I wonder if he was sitting next to your son SMIPA? He was smiling/laughing so that was good to see.
I didn't see where the pics were numbered though, so didn't get a pic number. My computer was moving so slow it took me forever to get through them, but so glad I persevered!
I'm just glad they all look healthy!
Amen!! My SR has been sick since he got there it seems like...........a chest cold he hasn't been able to shake, and then pink eye, so it was good to actually get a look at him and see that he was smiling and looking "normal", LOL!
I didn't realize there were so many recruits from our area...........yes, we are from the Cincinnati area. I know there was a guy he trained with occasionally over the summer that was from Dayton and he was leaving a couple of days behind my SR, so we assumed he would be in the same division.
I so appreciate you counting too, SMIPA! :) Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of my SR. I *think* I saw one that *might* have been him, but he was way in the back (chow line) and it was not a clear enough picture to determine if it was or not, for sure. It just looked a little like him, and how he stands. Lol. Oh well. Kinda a bummer, but at least I had some good conversations with him, and I know he is doing well. So glad you all found some good pictures!!
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of those who celebrate it. Bittersweet for me this year, as my SR is my only, so I am officially an emptynester and boy! Does it change how this whole season feels! I loved hearing from him yesterday and was so glad we had time to talk. I know it won't be until 1/23 before I really get to talk with him again, but he sounded so good that I am not worried at all.
On a related note, I just wanted to give a shout-out to all you other Mommas out there just for being there. I love knowing that I can peek in on this site, or follow on what each of you post, and know that I am not going through this alone...as a matter of fact, we are all feeling and thinking so many of the same things...I feel like we are kindred sisters! Thank you to all of you. I look forward to meeting each of you at the Meet-N-Greet on 1/22. I hope you can all attend.
A belated Merry Christmas to all here from me as well. We were out of town over Christmas and my mother in law doesn't have internet (and neither do my husband and I on our phones, so we were cut off from the net for a few days).
So glad most here were able to hear from their SR's! We got 2 30 minute calls from our SR too, one on Tuesday, one on Wednesday. My husband was in the grocery store Wed when he called and he left his cart in the aisle so he could get rush back to his moms in time for me to talk to our SR too, LOL! Our son has had pink eye on top of a chest cold, so he said he had to take a trip to medical to get eye drops and they gave him Mucinex while he was there too, then he had to take a mandatory
"day resting" as he put it, so he missed a work out (which he wasn't happy about). Then he said he missed 2 more work outs due to having watch. He seemed more put out about that than the fact he has been sick. I know he said going in, the thing that worried him the most was the fact that he wouldn't be working out on the level he was here before he left, so he was a little bit concerned it would affect his numbers on his last PST. I'm praying for all of them that they find it in themselves to dig deep and find the strength to get those required numbers. I know a lot of them have been struggling with chest colds, and pink eye too from what my SR said. Praying that they are able to put all that behind them so that they are all healthy going into the last part of training. He too talked about being a bit bored and hoping the pace would pick up soon.
He said that they got in trouble for packing their gear incorrectly and that's why they only got 30 minutes on Christmas Eve instead of the 60 they were told they would get on the day before. He said they were having several Christmas Eve services for different denominations/religious affliations, and he and several others were looking forward to going.
It was just good to hear his voice. He didn't mention that they had lost a lot of guys in their division and their A school training might begin late. I hate to hear that. Will continue to pray for health and strength for all of them remaining.
Ship 04 Div 804 Good Morning to all! Hope everyone was able to enjoy their holidays despite their SR not being home. It was hard I know for all of us. We did receive a phone call on Tues for about 35 minutes and then he called his sweetheart on Wed for about 35 minutes. Yesterday we celebrated with our extended family and our SR's sweetheart and her family. His sweetheart diligently went through all the pictures on the Facebook link that was so graciously posted and she finally found one of our SR. It was a great picture and the best Christmas gift ever! You could have heard a pin drop when we all gathered around and starred at that pictured as we shed tears of joy that we were able to get a glimpse of him. I hope everyone was able to find their SR. Thank you all for sharing your feelings and the information that allows us to be more informed. You are truly a blessing!
