Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Daughter's health crisis - Navy not helping? What are our options?

My daughter has been in Navy almost 5 years and has learned her Chiefs are trying to have her booted out of the Navy on a medical because she has tachycardia and say it's not their problem. My daughter has no family or personal history of this but has had a rough time and has been miserable in the Navy. No disciplinary issues. She has been hugely stressed out and is beside herself with anxiety over this. I asked her if she has or can consult with a cardiologist and she said her supervisor will not authorize this. Really? Can her Navy dictate the level of health care she gets? Can she be booted out of the Navy with a potentially dangerous health condition so that she has no job and no health benefits? Where can we go to get the straight scoop on what her rights are and her recourse in this situation?

Following. My daughter was injured in bootcamp. I made my own doctors appointment for her, so tomorrow after graduation we're seeing a specialist.

You have a totally different situation.

She will see doctors and perhaps a few specialists prior to being "booted out of the Navy on a medical" since they have to prove that she is no longer fit to serve. She also has to see several doctors in order to determine her extent of disability for the Navy and for the VA. It is a long process and won't happen overnight.

You daughter needs to go to her chain of command. Her chiefs are not able to make that level of a decision- that is well above what they can do. If they are giving her a hard time and trying to prevent her from seeking necessary medical care, she needs to start going up the chain above them- and the first step to that is going to her division officer. If the division officer won't help, keep going up the chain.

I know it's hard but please tell your daughter it will be okay. I am sure there is someone in her chain of command who is willing to advocate her and will make sure she gets the care she needs. Your daughter is in my thoughts!
