Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Since you will be in a ground section it will be easy for your sailor to know where you are. As long as your other sons know where you are before they sit down, everyone can come to you. My sailor said he had an entire hour of staring at the crowd so he knew right where we were. :) He headed straight toward us as soon as they called liberty. Telling him ahead of time what color you will be wearing helps, too. Have a wonderful time at PIR, it is an amazing experience!

See the info on handicapped seating in PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend. My Sailor had no difficulty finding his sister and me in the handicapped section and his other guest came there as well.

Thank you; I did read that information and also the information on parking. He thinks he will get one more call before then and we can work out the details. He said that they all looked alike in their uniforms and it would be easier to find us. He is very concerned about me being able to tolerate the ceremony but we are hoping for the best.

You are very welcome. Yes, he WILL find you. Just stay put. He should get a long call once he is a Sailor (See Phone Cards and Phone Calls and Battle Stations-21 (BST).) I do hope that you are able to attend and enjoy the ceremony.

I had my husband log on and look on his laptop, and I can't find my name anywhere. I changed my username on the Mar. 25. Could you check with an administrator and see what that problem is? I'm worried about an error somewhere on the site.
