Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Missing My Recruit
My oldest Daughter who is 18 left June 29th for bootcamp. Its been an emotional roller coaster. We r are very tight/close family. I have realized you can prepare your self all you want for when your kids leave. The day they leave you are strong but then you break, your heart has just been ripped out. Its been 2 weeks today since she left and it feels like eternity. Her brother who is 11 was inseparable with her. He had a meltdown over the weekend. Its hard cause his daddy, My husband is a Towboat Captain and is gone 20 days home 10 out of the month. He was with us when our oldest left, but had to go to work a week later. SO i had to call him at midnight to get our son to calm down. Needless to say he cried himself to sleep. He wrote his sister lastnite and its in the mail today. I received her address this weekend that was great to c a lil bit of her handwriting. She has a 13 yr old sister who seems to be the rock. She shows no emotions, im not sure if thats a good thing or bad lol. Well She graduated Aug 28th and im counting down the days!!
