DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hi, Illinois Moms! I live in Central Illinois but grew up and still have family in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Thought it would be great to connect with some local moms!!

Lunch would be great!

Count me in! We're overdue for a meet and greet!
Welcome! I'm in the Elgin area, although I'm not an Ilinois native. Glad to have you along!
Elgin is not that far!

This is going to sound so cliché...but I'm so excited to see there are so many local moms! My soon-to-be sailor is waiting to take the ASVAB (it keeps getting delayed) but I've been doing my research about what to expect in BC and after. It's going to be so hard to let him go...but I know he needs to experience life; and in the Navy, he will get to do that while collecting a paycheck! I'm so proud of the life choices he has made so far!

So if any of you miss your sailors, or just want to talk about anything in general, I'm here! I'm also on FB!

:)

Im in central Illinois...decatur!

Well, hello!! Decatur is not far at all!!

What does your son/daughter do in the Navy? My son just took the ASVAB last night and did well!! He's going through the physical right now and I'm going to leave about 10am to drive to St. Louis to see him get sworn in!

My son is leaving in 25 days for basic. he took the asvab and the oath last year. He actually signed uo for navy the day of his 17th bday with his dad and I. So we had to wait for him to graduate this may, which he did, and now we wait for him to head out! I am only 2hours from Peoria! I would love to come meet all you ladies too! I need the support badly! I am not doing so well on this.
