Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 267 and 268
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi, Coreena:
Thank you for the positive feed back. It's not so much her not being home as it is not knowing she's okay. She spent a year at college, but we were always able to communicate with each other. I hate this shutoff feeling. Makes me sick to my stomach. I'm sure this will pass, but it is really taking its toll right now.
One of the hardest things to adjust to with the Navy life is "No news is good news".
If you are not hearing from your recruit it means everything is ok. They are healthy, uninjured, and cruising right along through Boot Camp. As much as you want to hear from them right now, in just a few short weeks you might not want your phone to ring. No phone calls...no problems.
Boot Camp trains the loved ones too. I can attest to that, as my son was just sent to sea again, and won't be back in home port (thousands of miles from me) until the end of the year. I may or may not hear from him for weeks or months. It never gets better, but it does get easier, I promise!
Hang in there!!!
We know we shouldn't get our hopes up for a phone call, but sometimes, it's just impossible not to wish for one. We also know that because she will be on sub, we really need to get use to this. I just don't want to. There I said it. I feel better now that I've pitched my fit. LOL. I never said she could grow up and leave home, but she did it anyway. Damn kids. ;) Thanks for letting me rant.. We are all going through this together and we raised strong kids that we are all proud of. I'm thankful for the strength in numbers.
Ellen how on earth did you get that smiley hug? I love it and thank you. :)
Most of the emoticons I use come from sherv. net. Copy the html code and then paste it in the link button above the comment window.
I saw my husband in the photos! I even got a individual photo because I am donation blood on Monday to the program!
