My son reports in St. Louis on the 10th as well.  I was excited about the festivities but now am afraid it will be more difficult to say good bye there than if we just went alone to the recruiting station. :(  It is going to be a very difficult day!!

I agree. I'm going to have very hard time saying goodbye at the game

I think this is going to be harder then i realize i will be a mess i know it. are you going to the game?

My son is part of this group also.  Do you know when their graduation will be?  He said his recruiter told him 9 weeks from when he leaves but I don't know if that is the 10th or 13th.  Also the Navy site said Boot Camp is 7 weeks, so I am really confused.

My understanding is the grad ceremony is on Fridays so we count 9 Fridays after they leave. I'd love to connect with you. Ill be there at the picnic and the armed forces museum .ill be in a blingy navy mom red t-shirt. Please come up to me if you see me

I will be at the picnic too.  I will look for the lady in the red blingy shirt lol.

Please do and come up to me...:)
Hello! You should get a form letter listing the graduation date the first week or 2 of bootcamp. Take care!

Hi Navymommia-

My son leaves Aug 13 from Cleveland, Ohio. We live in Perrysburg, Ohio. He is my oldest, just 18yrs old and the first to leave the nest! Needless to say I am also very proud but very sad at the same time. Maybe we can support each other.

I would love that. I feel the only way I'm going to get thru this is with support from those who know exactly what I'm feeling! Mine just celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday. It was so bittersweet

My son also reported to St. Louis today. I am also very scared. He is my baby and i have done nothing but cry all day.

Yes he is. I just left him at the recruiters office for the drive to st Louis. I'll be at the picnic and game on Thursday. Are you going,
