Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 339 and 340

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

TGIF 3 down 6 to go !!!!
My son is division 340 and going to A school in Great Lakes. I can't wait to see him at graduation
Mine is in 340 too. His name is Josh and he entered on a PACT agreement. Hope you get a call soon. maybe they did good today and can make calls tomorrow.
My son is Nick. His letter said to expect a call Saturday which I thought meant today. What's a PACT agreement?
He is going in without a rating. The one he wanted wasn't available and he really didn't know what he wants to do. Under a PACT agreement he will get shipped out to a vessel just after graduation and do an 18 month apprenticeship. He will get to experience various duties on a ship and at the end of 18 months go to A school for whatever job is most suitable for him.

Did anyone from Division 340 get a call yesterday from their son/daughter?

Division 340 no call for me.

Happy Sunday, fellow Navy Moms! Hope that our SRs will make some phone calls today. I don't want to get greedy because I already got two phone calls from him last week. But it would be nice to get a call that's not about security clearance. From his first personal letter to us, he mentioned that all the SRs in their division get along fine and that he is doing okay. He is requesting for letters and pictures. They can only write letters on Sundays but they can receive mails everyday. He wanted me to share his address to his close friends which I did. 39 days before PIR!

Division 339 has gotten to call, right? It's just 340 that no one has gotten a call from?
Just got my first call from Jack in div 339! So good to hear his voice but we all were playing hot potato with the phone and it ended so QUICK.
Just got off the phone with Josh. He started tearing up a bit but is doing okay. I knew this would be hard for him being away for the first time. I wanted to give him a big hug so bad. He passed his swimming and pt tests so that is good. I'm sure once he starts getting letters he will feel less lonely. I will be sending one every day till he graduates. Hope you all get your phone calls
Wow! That is a huge relief, Joshmom! No phone call from my SR today but I'm thankful that he called us twice last week and a letter from him. Maybe he will call his friends today. I also hope that he passed the swim test.
