Are there any other moms of OCS 03-16 out there? I'm not a big facebook user.

My son just went in and is in that class.

Hi Kylie.  Our son is in class 03-16.  I am brand new to this site and we are brand new to military so are feeling completely unsure about a lot of things!  I looked around fb and did not see a page for friends and family of this class.

Hi Jean! I did find a Facebook page, here's the link:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/488580821320609/

I am new to the military as well. This Facebook page has been extremely informational and beneficial. I also am a member of the OCS Newport Class 02-16 Facebook page because my boyfriend was originally a member of class 02-16 but unfortunately rolled into H-Class.

Thanks! I am sure I will have more questions as I learn more and look this site over.

I hope you find a group.  You will get an enormous amount of info there.  Our GS was in 11-11 and when we couldn't hear from him, someone on the page would have little bits of info that they could share.  Just always make sure you have a phone handy!  Good luck to your son.

Hey there! My boyfriend is also in class 03-16. The official name of the Facebook page is "Officer Training Command Newport". It took me a while to find it but it's awesome to see what the different classes are doing. From what I've read it will be another 2 weeks or so before they start posting pictures of their class.
That's terrible.. What kind of injury? I hope she will be able to complete it!
I actually had the common flexor tendon (all the front forearm muscles connect at this point) in my forearm torn completely from the bone because of a retractable dog leash and a dog that chases squirrels! Anyway, I couldn't even hold a coffee cup, lost all strength in it and the top of my hand and fingers were numb because of the lack of blood supply. They can't reattach it so surgery isn't an option... With the right physical therapy though I regained all strength in it and have to believe it's healing on its own because the numbness is almost gone. Tendons and ligaments can heal themselves and in the meantime other muscles and tendons compensate for any weakness. Good luck and prayers sent for your daughter to get through this! <3
Hello! Beginning to see some action (*_*) what was the start date of this class? Was it mid November? Navy mom new to all this with lots of questions haha

Norma,

This class started back in September and will soon graduate.  If you know your son/daughter's class number, look on this website for a thread, or on facebook for a group.  I got most of my information from the facebook group.
