My son shipped out to boot camp 9/14. Got the "I'm here" call and his box mailed home. I think I know his division and ship. Got from calling his recruiter here in Texas. Looking to connect with others in my group. Not quite sure how to maneuver around this site to talk., become friends. Help?

Just curious, What does TG stand for? and what is a Push division? Thanks

vnllamom,

The short definitions:

TG=Training Group

Push Division=a division in which some or all of the recruits in the Division have less than 9 Fridays at the RTC.

For the complete definitions, see What does ??? mean? (A Guide to Navy Abbreviations and Terminology). It will help you with many of the new terms you will come across.

My daughter shipped the same day from st Louis and is probably in the same group, no letter yet.

My son shipped out on Sept 17th and I know nothing yet. Did get the call and his box but nothing else yet! I check the mail like a wild women. The mailman leaves and I'm running to the mailbox and get mad when nothing is in it from my son!
I did receive his former letter late yesterday and even though it wasn't a handwritten letter from him it was still nice. And he added his own little touch to it. But one concern is that he just put down on his list of people to come to graduation mom, dad. Surely on the copy for the Navy he actually put our names. Should I be concerned and ask when he calls?

Nicole, the names on the form letter are for you. He knows that you know who he means. He has not submitted the names for the Access List yet. He will do that 3 to 10 days before PIR and can change the names up to 24 hours of PIR if needed.

Austin'smom, some recruiters are great and some even give the correct address, but sometimes the address changes. It is best to wait on The Form Letter unless it has been two full calendar weeks since the recruit arrived and there is no form letter.

Just got the letter PIR is November 13!!  He shipped 9/17.   Can't wait to see my son!

My son left 9/14 also. Just got the form letter on Thursday. His PIR is 11/14 and he is on ship 003 Div 002. So excited to get the letter. Hoping he is writing today and will have a real letter in the next few days. This is excruciating! He's my only one

Hello!  My daughter's PIR is 11/13.  I am so confused on navigating the site as well.  It's weird, I think I can handle writing on here, then I start to tear up!!!  LOL!  I hope you are doing well.
