Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hello everyone. I'm fairly new here and haven't posted before. I'm also new to the Navy Mom world. Our son is currently in the DEP.

My husband is part of a private group on Facebook for Navy Dads and he has gotten a lot of useful information from that group. He's also communicated with a lot of dads one-on-one. I found a similar group for Navy Moms, but they have failed to accept my request to join the group twice now. :-(

While this page has been most helpful (I've saved many links, printed pages and watched videos posted here), most of my online time is on Facebook just because it is easier to use on my phone. I was curious as to whether or not any of you were involved in a similar group on Facebook or if I were to create one, would any of you be interested in joining it? I love this page, most of my online time is just spent on my phone with Facebook.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I was thinking the same. While I like this page, most of my time is on Facebook...or even a mobile app for this page as I am on my phone always.

Thank you for your reply! I may just start a private FB group then. It may take some time to spread the word and get it active with members, but I think it will be worth it in the long run. Of course, I would still recommend this page to everyone there. This site is great!

Here is a link to the Facebook group that I created. Please, feel free to send a join request to NAVY Moms!!!
