Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 047 and 048
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I asked my son and he just said the first week didn't really count and that they were on week two.

Has anyone gotten a letter yet? My husband said when we spoke on Sunday that they were allowed to send out letters on Sunday. Hoping to get one today or tomorrow.

Nothing in my mail today for me. My son said the same & that he'd already written a few letters. I think he was more homesick than he thought he'd be, I was surprised he'd written already and can't wait to receive them. Hope they come tomorrow otherwise with the holiday it won't be until Friday, fingers crossed.

I read somewhere that there's one particular RDC on ship 14 that is stricter than the others. That's probably why they got so homesick. I'm sure they're starting to feel better now.

It's good they experience all kinds of commands, but glad they have someone now who they like more, at this point I would think they get better results. Can't wait to get home today and check the mail!

The mail already came and there were no letters from my husband. He said he sent me four so I'm guessing those of us on the West Coast won't be getting any mail until Friday at the earliest.

Received my first letter today!!! Ship 14 Div 048. My son sounds great and is doing well. From his letter, he said that Nov 20th was 2-1 so if I'm right then today is 2-4. We are in Nevada so hopefully those on the West coast will receive letters today, certainly by Friday.

Looks like Friday for us, thanks for the update on what day they are on. My son did give me that info when he called but that was one thing I didn't retain! Congrats on your letter, can't wait until Friday.

I finally got my husband's letters. He sounds like he is doing well. He said he is getting his wisdom teeth pulled. I hope that means he'll be in SIQ and can call for a few minutes. Crossing my fingers!
It sounds like they are liking their new RDC alot which was really good to hear. He said the food is good.
