Our son passed his PIR the Friday befor thanksgiving only to find out that he won't be in the Navy any longer because of a slight medical issue that was dignosed in 6th grade and nothing came of it after that. Not sure what to do from here. Any insight would help!

Seems that he wouldn't have even been able to go to Basic if they knew about this.  I'm so sorry!  Can't imagine how you all must feel.  Where is he?  Did he go to A School?  Where is he now?  I will send prayers your way and hope all works out.  My heart goes out to you and your sailor.

The recruitment center new about his slight asburgers/autism. The said he was able to enlist... Took a week of fighting the pediatrician office because they are idiots to send his records and the Navy got it a week and a half after he got there... The person who diagnosed him in 5/6th grade died about 4 yrs ago. My husband never pursued anything after that so there isn't anything else in his records that I know of... Our son had a meeting with the theropods up in book camp after passing (his division got the highest score and was able to bring in the state flags as well our son did more thane he was ask to do) and they will be sending him home. We haven't heard from him since Monday.

We know don't know what to do?
Oh and our son is still in boot camp after passing awaiting to come home and they won't send him to nuk school!

Supposedly he is low on the autism range and the doctor that diagnosed him in the 6th grade died soon after. His father (my son is my step son) at one point said he was either add or adhd but in another breath he says autism. His father never got him rechecked or stayed on top of much (I know it seams like I am being harsh on my husband but men don't do as us women do). My husband and son doesn't tell me much. I have to play 20 questions.  The recruiters said he was fine.

He passes high on his ASVAP and was in the top of his class in Boot camp. Supposedly the trainers requested him to stay.

I am now getting blamed for sending all of his records when I spoke to Navy Medical that is what they requested.

They requested his medical records from whom? Did your son sign a release for his medical records?
