Hi

I will be driving from PA with my daughters.  Has anyone made this trip?  I was considering taking a train or bus. Any suggestions?

Figure at least 10 hrs rolling time from central PA to Great Lakes, plus a couple hrs for breaks and meals. Makes for a looong day, but its all Interstates. Can the daughters help with the driving?

OPEC continues to over produce, keeping gasoline prices low. Good news at the pump.

Hello

Only 1, but will I feel safe with her driving is the big question:).  I am just praying the weather is ok.  If it snows it will kill the trip.  THanks for the reply!  Yes, you are right the drop in gas will be nice.

I've ridden that section with my husband in a semi.  Give yourself an extra day and you'll be fine.

I wish that I could, but I only have 2 personal days and cannot take off any more.  My superintendent would not approve a day without pay.  Unfortunately, I believe he thinks life should occur only in July.  I love your idea though!  I believe I am going to have to brace myself for an exhausting weekend.

HI - our son is also graduating that day !  what ship and div is your son in ?  I will be flying in from Florida so cant help with the drive !

He is Ship 12 dig. 82. Is it the same? We are staying at the Navy Lodge. It is about 1 mile from the base.

He is on Ship 04 Div 084 so they are in different places - I just booked my room too at the Navy Lodge for Thursday and Friday night so lets definitely try to meet up !

Sounds wonderful! I am so excited and very proud of my son. What did your son sign on for with the Navy?

He will be going to Groton Connecticut for school to be a Submarine Sonar Tech for 9 months the day after graduation !

They have just completed probably the worst week of their lives - I am pretty sure they pulled Dillan's wisdom teeth , they do that if they still have them and if they think there could be potential teeth issues in the future - not a fun place to have that done :(   We are so proud of him too, cant wait to see him all dressed up with his chest puffed out in his Navy whites !

My name is Maureen by the way :)

I got his form letter yesterday and sent him out 4 letters today and all his friends and my family are going to write - mail call is the highlight of their day !
