Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 047 and 048

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got two today so happy, maybe yours will come tomorrow

No letter for me today.  Last week it was Thursday but week before Friday so maybe just running slow with Christmas rush.  I also wonder if my son even wrote a letter for this week after getting to call again, he may have used his time for other things or maybe wrote some other family members which I am ok with, I feel so blessed with the calls and letters I have received during this adventure!  Maybe tomorrow Boms_wife :)

I rec'd a letter from my son yesterday. It sounds like the overall mood is good. They had simulated weapons training last week. The Division is down to 64.  Keep focusing on graduation, all - only 14 days :)

Can't believe we are 2 weeks away, I seem to feel more nervous the closer it gets!

I haven't gotten a letter yet this week. Maybe today will be the day. I know he's written to his girlfriend a lot more than me. I know that's only natural, but, I miss hearing from him. I can't wait for Christmas, though! Because we're staying at a friend's house, I'll get to make steak and mashed potatoes for dinner - his favorite! :)

Still no letter today, but I got to hear his voice for a few minutes while I looked for the information he needed. On a bright note, I finally received my DEERS paperwork to get my ID.

Glad for you that you were able to talk to him - hope he sounded good :)

Finally got two letters from my husband today. He sounds happy, but tired. He says he got expert during weapons training!
That's awesome! Are you close enough that you get to go see him for Christmas Day?
Unfortunately not. We'll just have to make it up after PIR.
I think you should tell him that getting through bootcamp is an accomplishment in and of itself. From my understanding, There are only 4 honor graduates in the entire training group so they sound like the chances of anyone getting an award is pretty low.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Just received some letters from my husband. He said Div 47 has earned a total of 6 flags and 1 pennant for PIR. He said their RDCs told them that they are the top division in the entire training group and were asked to show the baby divisions the ropes this past Sunday. Sounds like everything is going well. Final PFA and final written test was this week but since I didn't get a call saying he didn't pass either one, I am taking that as a sign that he is good to go to battlestations. I can't wait til tomorrow to see if we all get phone calls!
