Also from others that are going through this part.  It is so hard.  A lot harder than I thought.  I worry about him and hope he is doing ok.. Have you received The Form Letter or is that info from the recruiter? If you have received The Form Letter, then what is the PIR date? If you have not received The Form Letter, then wait on it before sending any more letters since the PAO asks that loved ones wait on the form letter before sending mail.

I have not received the form letter yet, I just received his box on Monday. I will wait to send anymore letters,  But the recruiter looked up his address On Monday to give it to me.  I will wait though Good to Know. Thanks  :  )

Addresses can change while the recruit is in P-days. Sometimes the address the recruiter gave will be correct and sometimes it will not be correct. Mail sent to the wrong address can be delayed for several weeks or returned to you.

I just changed my profile and I think it is what you were referring to.  Just so you know who I am now.  the original one was pattybla now it is newnavymom Is there anything else that you can see that I need to change?  Thanks for your help.

I received the Form Letter today.  His PIR date is 3-18-16  You mentioned that I need to change a few things, I am a little confused as to what I need to change, Were you talking about in my profile?  I will change the location and some of the personal info.  Please let me know if I did it right.  Thank you so much for all of your much needed information.

Hi there my son just left yesterday and i am glad to have found this site also...I am so overwhelmed with emotions and reading on here has let me see what a day is like for him.. It was so hard when I got my call last night to even let him off the phone...I have all the same question you do...We will get thur this so glad to have other moms to talk to

Thank you for your reply.  I just received the Form Letter with his address info.  I received the box with all of his personal items, on Monday and today I received the form letter with his PIR date and correct mailing address and all the instructions.  I am glad to get that, I too wonder what it is like,  but I went on the suggested links that shows the first few days of boot camp and that helped.

That is great news I know it made your day to get the information..I am looking forward to getting mine hoping that it is sooner than later...

I was excited to get the letter,  But I guess he was not able to write something to me at that time, so it was just a Form letter with all his info on it. :  (  At least I got some good info.  I am looking forward to PIR and to see my Son in all his glory after all the hard work they are doing.  It really did help to look at the site about what happens the first few weeks in book camp.  At least I know some of what he is going thru.  I have a lot of faith in him and he is strong,  Im sure they will both do fine.  Let me know when you get your letter.

I believe my son may be on the same division. He also is Ship 11 but it's Div 122-I so I'm not sure

jentel, yes, your recruit is in the same division. The "I" means that division 122 is an integrated division and contains both males and females. you do not need to include the "I" in the address. Your from letter should be coming soon.

I am so happy that you monitor our questions... You are so full of knowledge!  Thank you for taking the time to help us!  You make me feel so much better!
